Youth Hockey Overview

LEARN TO SKATE
Learn-to-Skate USA (LTSUSA) is the first stepping stone to start one's journey in figure skating, hockey, or recreational skating. LTSUSA's curriculum is endorsed by US Figure Skating, USA Hockey, and US Speedskating. Our program is designed for beginners of all ages who want to learn basic skating skills. Ice skating can be a lifelong sport that creates friendships, and builds confidence and discipline while gaining new life experiences.
LEARN TO PLAY
Glacier Hockey Association is excited to partner with the Seattle Kraken NHL© franchise in offering NHL & NHLPA Learn to Play programming. Players (ages 5 to 9) are introduced to the fundamentals of skating before progressing to stick handling, passing, and shooting through an 8 week session. Kids learn these skills through fun skating drills and games taught by our certified USA Hockey coaches. Players will receive a full set of gear, skates and a stick to start their hockey career.
*Players have graduated Learn to Skate at a minimum of a Basic 3 skill level.
*Must be new to the game with no previous year USA Hockey Confirmation number to be eligible for equipment from the Seattle Kraken program.

House Hockey is our non-travel youth program with all practices and games played locally. This league is for players at the 6U through 12U+ age levels. Players participate in practice twice per week and have the opportunity to add-on Yeti Game nights with Flathead Valley Hockey Association.
This is our development program that is the next step in our progression after the Learn to Play Hockey programming. House league is designed to grow the game of hockey and to focus on individual skill development and recreational hockey.
GHA Girls our girls-only House option for girls 10U to 12U who wish to develop in their hockey skill. The primary goal of this program is to develop and support girls on their hockey journey whether it be novice level or more competitive. We are excited to continue to grow and support girls hockey!
