Local/House Hockey Programs
GHA is excited to provide local hockey opportunities through our GHA House program in Whitefish. Available to those who want to play hockey but not commit to the travel requirements involved in full season league play.
Ages
Players 6 years old and older who have successfully completed at least one session of Learn-to-Play.
When
Full Season - October thru March
Fall Session - October thru December
Winter Session - January thru March
Practices
Practices will be twice a week at Stumptown Ice Den in Whitefish.
*Ice time may be unavailable during holidays and tournament weekends
games
SCRIMMAGES will be facilitated in practice times.
YETI GAMES can be added through Flathead Valley Hockey Association. Players are combined onto teams for each session and get to play against other teams. This is a great opportunity for game-play without the commitment to a travel league.
Extra Costs
There may be opportunities to play in exhibition games and jamborees during the season. In the past, players have had the opportunity to travel to Helena and Phillipsburg. There is an extra cost to participate – it usually ranges from $40 - $60 per event. Details on the games and how to sign up will be released later in the Fall.
12U and Older - House Hockey
We are excited to offer an individual practice, in partnership with Flathead Valley Hockey Association, for players that are 12U and older at the House Level.
This is a great option for older players just starting their hockey careers or who love the game, but don't want the travel commitment.
Players will have 1 practice per week and participate in Yeti Games at Woodland Ice Rink. Additional skills sessions are available for players that want more practice.

2025-2026 House Hockey Season
House Hockey is our non-travel youth program with all practices and games played locally. This league is for players at the 6U through 12U+ age levels. Players participate in practice twice per week and have the opportunity to add-on Yeti Game nights with Flathead Valley Hockey Association.
This is our development program that is the next step in our progression after the Learn to Play Hockey programming. House league is designed to grow the game of hockey and to focus on individual skill development and recreational hockey.
Prerequisites: USA Hockey Confirmation Number, Graduation from a Learn to Play program.
*Equipment is available to use with a deposit that is refunded upon return of the gear at the end of the session
2025-26 GHA Girls (Non-Travel)
GHA is excited to continue to offer a girls house option. Registration fees include practices twice a week. GHA Girls is a programming option for girls 10U and older options who wish to develop in their hockey skill while having the option to participate in travel tournament opportunities. Tournament registrations for travel opportunities are an additional cost to the registration.
This is a developing program who's primary goal is to develop and support girls on their hockey journey whether it be novice level or more competitive. We are excited to continue to grow and support girls hockey!
Prerequisites: USA Hockey Confirmation Number, Graduation from a Learn to Play program (includes Girls Fall into Hockey).
